The Sea of Monsters is the second installment in the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series. Percy is eagerly looking forward to spending the summer at Camp Half-Blood, with other demigods like himself. However, his arrival at camp is not exactly what he expected; instead of spending a relaxing summer with his friends, Percy is thrust into a dangerous quest. The future of Camp Half-Blood, and the life of Percy’s best friends, rests on the success of this quest.
I rate this book as a four star, tween book. It was engaging and fun to read, I’m sure if I were a pre-teen I would be dying to read the next book in the series. I didn’t think that there was any objectionable material in this book, perfect for kids from the age of 10 or so on up.
