God Gave Us Love is a short, biblically inspired book for young children. Little Cub is enjoying a fishing trip with Grandpa Bear, but rowdy otters want to play nearby and Little Cub is worried that all the fish will be scared away. When Little Cub gets annoyed with the boisterous otters, Grandpa Bear explains what God and the Bible have to say about loving others. Little Cub learns all about different kinds of love, including God’s love for us and how it is important to love others, even when they make us grumpy.
This book is adorable! It is a fantastic bedtime story for smaller children; my 4-year-old loves it. It does a great job of imparting a life-lesson, without getting ‘preachy’ or being too in-depth for little minds. The story flows nicely and keeps children’s interest, and the illustrations by Laura J Bryan are superb. I would highly recommend this book to mothers with small children!
